U Street Happy Hours You Won’t Want to Miss
September 26, 2018 –U Street, less than 20 minutes from The Modern, is known for its food, nightlife and entertainment scene. Needless to say, it’s an exciting place to be in D.C. This week, take a break and have some fun at these U Street happy hours.
Sudhouse
This mom-and-pop style bar offers a happy hour menu all day on Mondays, Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Treat yourself to drink specials like a Moscow Mule, wine, mixed rail drinks and more. For the whole table grab a Quench and Crunch that comes with a pitcher and chili nachos.
Hawthorne
Considered one of U Street’s best happy hours, Hawthorne offers food and drink specials during the weekday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Don’t miss out on the Hawthorne Smash signature cocktail or duck fat fries.
Tico
Head to Tico for a happy hour of tacos and margaritas. You can order from the happy hour menu Mondays all night long and Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Try their house-made chorizo with a pineapple margarita.
Vinoteca
Feel good about your happy hour at Vinoteca. Vinoteca regularly hosts Wednesday Charity Happy Hours. Stop in from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the month and donate to the designated cause for happy hour specials. Upcoming causes include DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Ayuda. You can also enjoy their happy hour menu throughout the week from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
