AFFORDABLE DWELLING UNIT PROGRAM
The Modern at Art Place is honored to participate in the District’s Affordable Dwelling Unit Program. We offer one bedroom and two bedroom floor plans at rents affordable to households earning 60% and 80% of the median family income (MFI) per DC’s Housing guidelines. Senior Affordable Dwelling Units are also available for those 62 years of age or older and who meet the following criteria.

This is not subsidized hosing. Rents do not change based on applicants income. Tenants will be responsible for paying the rent themselves. These apartment are offered through the District of Columbia Affordable Dwelling Unit Program.
In addition to income and household size, the following factors will be used to evaluate a household’s lease eligibility. References/rental history/ employment history/credit score and reports/ income verification/ criminal background screening. Applicants must be leasing the affordable unit as his or her full time residence and have no ownership or leasehold interest in any other housing. We are pledged to the letter and spirit of the U.S. policy and District of Columbia Human Rights Act for the achievement of equal housing opportunity. This housing is available to all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, marital/familial status, responsibility, political affiliation, matriculation, source of income, status as a victim of a intrafamily offense, and any other classifications protected by federal and District of Columbia Law.
